VSCO API and scraping

How do I search VSCO for photos and users?

Send a keyword to Search VSCO images to retrieve matching image IDs, captions, dimensions, image links, permalinks and each owner’s username. Use Search VSCO users with the same kind of query to find profiles with usernames, display names, avatars and gallery links. Pass a higher page while hasMore is true.

Which fields does a public VSCO profile return?

Use Get a VSCO profile with a username or vsco.co profile URL to retrieve the site and user IDs, display name, gallery title, bio, avatar, website and social links, location and brand flag. The response also says whether the profile has a gallery or collection and links to the public gallery.

What public VSCO data can I scrape with the API?

Retrieve public profiles, gallery images, single photos, reposted collections and journal articles as structured JSON, and search images and users by keyword. Photos include image links, captions, dimensions, dates and permalinks. Journal articles include titles, authors, publication dates, cover images and body blocks with decoded text and images.

VSCO: galleries, photos and collections

How do I page through a VSCO user’s gallery?

Send a username to List a VSCO user’s gallery to retrieve up to 20 records per page with image links, captions, dimensions, capture and upload dates, camera details and permalinks. Pass the returned nextCursor as cursor to request the next page; it is null on the last page.

Can I get the camera settings and preset of a VSCO photo?

Yes. Pass a vsco.co image URL or the 24-character image ID to Get a VSCO image. The response returns the camera make and model, ISO, aperture, shutter speed, white balance, flash mode and editing software when published, plus the preset, tags, dates, dimensions, image link and owner.

Can I retrieve the photos a user reposted to their VSCO collection?

Send a username to List a VSCO user’s collection to retrieve reposted images with image links, captions, dimensions, collected dates and the original photographer’s username. The response includes the collection total when VSCO reports it. Pass a higher page while hasMore is true.

API access and integration

How do I get a ScrapeAtlas API key and authenticate requests?

Create a ScrapeAtlas account and generate an API key in the dashboard. Send the key in the x-api-key request header when calling https://api.scrapeatlas.com. The API playground lets you enter an endpoint’s parameters and inspect its JSON response.

Can I call the scraping API from Python, JavaScript or the CLI?

Yes. Send authenticated HTTP requests from Python, JavaScript or another language that supports HTTP. The endpoint reference includes request examples and response fields. Use the ScrapeAtlas CLI for terminal workflows and pass the returned pagination values when requesting additional result pages.

Can I connect an AI assistant to the ScrapeAtlas MCP server?

Yes. Connect an MCP-compatible assistant to the ScrapeAtlas MCP server to discover and call the public platform tools with your ScrapeAtlas account. The agent reference also gives coding assistants a readable guide to the endpoints and their request schemas.
