Pick one of the 10 Substack endpoints and add its input, such as a public URL.
Call it with your key in the x-api-key header. ScrapeAtlas reads the public Substack data and retries when a read fails.

Substack API
Search publications, read newsletter archives and article details, retrieve writer profiles and activity feeds, and follow Notes and replies as structured JSON. Publication categories, author details, media and engagement help your application organize the writing and discussion.
Yes. Pass the writer’s handle to Profile to retrieve public identity, bio, profile image, audience counts, links and publications. Use Profile Feed to collect their posts and Notes with engagement and media, then pass the returned cursor to request another page.
Pass the publication URL to Posts to retrieve its archive. Choose new or top sorting, set a result limit and increase the offset for another page. Use a returned post URL with Post Details to add its published content to your reading list.
Pass a numeric Note ID to Note Details to retrieve published text, author details, reactions, restacks, attachments and parent discussion context. Profile Feed brings a writer’s Notes and newsletter posts together; Post Details retrieves an article by its post URL.
Search returns publication names, descriptions, images and author details for a query. Continue with the returned page number to request another page. Categories returns topic IDs, names and slugs for organizing a newsletter discovery directory.
Yes. Pass a post URL to Post Comments and choose the result limit and reply depth. Parent IDs and depth link comment records into a discussion. Pass a numeric Note ID to Note Replies to read the root Note and replies with text, authors, reactions and attachments, continuing with the returned cursor.
Create a ScrapeAtlas account and generate an API key in the dashboard. Send the key in the x-api-key request header when calling https://api.scrapeatlas.com. The API playground lets you enter an endpoint’s parameters and inspect its JSON response.
Yes. Send authenticated HTTP requests from Python, JavaScript or another language that supports HTTP. The endpoint reference includes request examples and response fields. Use the ScrapeAtlas CLI for terminal workflows and pass the returned pagination values when requesting additional result pages.
Yes. Connect an MCP-compatible assistant to the ScrapeAtlas MCP server to discover and call the public platform tools with your ScrapeAtlas account. The agent reference also gives coding assistants a readable guide to the endpoints and their request schemas.
