HOW IT WORKS

From API key to Kalshi data in four steps.

Run a sample below without a key.

  1. 01

    Get your API key

Create a free account and copy your key. You start with 100 free credits; no card needed.

  2. 02

    Choose an endpoint

Pick one of the 12 Kalshi endpoints and add its input, such as a search query.

  3. 03

    Send one request

Call it with your key in the x-api-key header. ScrapeAtlas reads the public Kalshi data and retries when a read fails.

  4. 04

    Use the JSON

Get structured JSON with a coverage status. Only successful requests use a credit.

Kalshi API and scraping

What public data can I retrieve with the Kalshi API?

Search Kalshi events by keyword and list markets, events and series with prices, volume and settlement rules. Read a market’s order book, trades and price candles, and look up public trader profiles, Kalshi Social comments and the leaderboard. Results keep Kalshi’s field names, dollar-string prices and cursors.

How do I get current Kalshi odds for a market or event?

Pass a market ticker to Market for Yes and No bids and asks, the last traded price and the price a day earlier, all in dollars. A price of 0.62 means 62 cents, a 62% implied probability. Use Event to compare every market of an event, or Search to find markets by keyword first.

Can I download historical Kalshi prices and trades?

Yes. Price History returns minute, hourly or daily candles with traded open, high, low, close and mean prices, Yes bid and ask, volume and open interest, for one market or every market of an event. Trades lists executed trades newest first; follow the cursor to continue into older trades, or set since and until for a window.

Kalshi: trades, order books and trader leaderboards

Which fields does a Kalshi trade return?

Each trade returns its ID, market ticker, contract count, Yes and No prices in dollars, the taker’s side and the execution time, with a block-trade flag. Trades are anonymous. Pass a market ticker, filter by time with since and until, and send the returned cursor to request the next page.

How do I read the Kalshi leaderboard and trader profiles?

Leaderboard ranks traders by projected profit, volume or number of markets traded, overall or for one category such as Politics or Sports. Pass a nickname from the list to Profile for the bio, followers, top categories and the trading metrics the trader shows, or to Comments for their recent trade ideas and replies.

Can I read the Kalshi order book for a market?

Yes. Order Book returns the resting Yes and No bids at each price with their sizes in contracts, plus the best bid and ask on each side in dollars. Kalshi books hold bids only, so a Yes ask is one dollar minus the best No bid. Set depth to limit the price levels per side.

API access and integration

How do I get a ScrapeAtlas API key and authenticate requests?

Create a ScrapeAtlas account and generate an API key in the dashboard. Send the key in the x-api-key request header when calling https://api.scrapeatlas.com. The API playground lets you enter an endpoint’s parameters and inspect its JSON response.

Can I call the scraping API from Python, JavaScript or the CLI?

Yes. Send authenticated HTTP requests from Python, JavaScript or another language that supports HTTP. The endpoint reference includes request examples and response fields. Use the ScrapeAtlas CLI for terminal workflows and pass the returned pagination values when requesting additional result pages.

Can I connect an AI assistant to the ScrapeAtlas MCP server?

Yes. Connect an MCP-compatible assistant to the ScrapeAtlas MCP server to discover and call the public platform tools with your ScrapeAtlas account. The agent reference also gives coding assistants a readable guide to the endpoints and their request schemas.
