How do I scrape Twitch channel videos and clips?

Can I retrieve a compact Twitch channel profile?

Yes. Basic Profile returns channel identity, biography, avatar, follower count, partner status and the current stream. Use it for a channel card, or choose Profile when you also want video shelves and similar streamers.

Can the Twitch clips API return views, duration and playback metadata?

Yes. Channel Clips provides clip cards with views, duration, thumbnails, game and creator information. Clip Details returns the public clip record with playback metadata and related clips for a selected URL.

How can I check whether a Twitch channel is currently live?

Use Basic Profile to retrieve channel identity, followers and the current live stream. The isLive flag identifies live channels, and stream is null when the channel is offline. Schedule adds this week’s planned segments, cancellations and recent broadcasts.

Can the Twitch API retrieve a channel’s weekly stream schedule?

Schedule returns the current calendar week with scheduled segments, cancellation metadata, the next segment and current stream. It also includes this week’s recent broadcasts for a channel calendar in your application.
